Please note - all the live weekly webinar classes are outstanding! I really did not think I would get much technical tools or skills from the Webinar Class. Let me say - was I ever wrong. The Webinar cleared up issues I never would have thought of at the time. I continue to work various problems for the PE Exam, a memory from an online Webinar will pop into my head. The memory will be a technique I learned that makes it easier to solve for my problem solution. What I gained from the Webinar is like "experience" that you cannot get from just reading a book or following solution steps of a problem. My favorites Webinars: (Live Class #3 Transformers, Auto-Transformers, Transformer Losses and Transformer Test) & (Live Class #5 Devices and Power Electronics, Relays, Switches, PLC's, Batteries, Power Supplies, Power Electronics and VFDs). I never miss a Webinar since attending the first. Thank you Zach.

This was a really fun class! Agenda is provided prior to class and there is clearly a lot of thought put into the lesson plan and execution. The level of participation was great, higher than many of my college classes. Questions are addressed at appropriate times - concepts are actively vetted out - people learn. If necessary, students can send questions via email if it is something that can't be covered during the live class.

I felt pretty decent about the exam after completing the premium course and working multiple practice exams. The live class was very good for finding my hidden weaknesses and building confidence in all sorts of PE exam areas. The day/time didn't work with my schedule, so I participated using the videos after-the-fact (for all but one). Of course, that comes with the advantage of speeding up or stopping where needed. The live class I attended in real-time was even more beneficial - I felt more like part of a team going in together to knock out this exam. Thanks!

My understanding about Electricity has gone from a scale 1-10, it went from 2 to 9. I am super happy learning from the Best PE instructor. The explanation to any electrical problem makes it look very simple and easy to understand. I like when the instructor does not cut short of showing all the mathematical steps. Per Unit/Generators/Motors/Fault Calculations etc. Love the advice-"If lost in solving a given problem-just go back to the basics -Ohm's Law" Thank you, Arturo Arias

Zach does an excellent job of keeping all the participants engaged while going over his sections. The occasional pop quiz at the beginning of the class really helped me see where my weaknesses were which made my studying more efficient. His webinars rarely go longer than expected, which is crucial to me being being a working professional with a limited amount of study time. If I happened to miss part of a class or want to review a specific section, all the webinars, class notes, and participant chats are available for me the next morning.

The webinar was marvelous, partly because some of the materials were out of my comfort zone - and a live discussion really helped to go through them. There was also the patience Zach showed to answer all the question asked by us, he broke out a lot of useful tricks too. Specially, the uploaded webinar classes rendered the same feelings as a live class when I viewed the ones I missed for my work schedule. The shared experience of the PE veterans was a big plus. Last but not the least, the pop quiz was truly amazing.

You honestly have the gift of teaching. Thank you Zach

I honestly enjoyed the webinar but the tough thing for me was there wasn't a sufficient amount of practice problems. Obviously it its a bit difficult to cover a lot in a 3 hr span and to be considerate to everyones schedule. But i do appreciate the time given to go over all the material. I just wish there was more problems of the same type but in different perspectives. Just to be able to see a problem and be able to tackle it. Overall I enjoyed and very helpful!!!

Unfortunately I have not been able to attend any of the webinars live, however they have been a great resource to go back and watch. I really like that Zach posts the full recording once the live class is over so that I can go back and watch on my own time. It's been really good to get another layer of review on some of the topics I've already covered in the premium class, helping me to solidify my understanding in certain areas. Zach is really great at making complicated topics seem simpler, and taking the time to interact with students each week is just an added bonus.

Zach presents a thorough treatment of the review topics arranged by the NCEES exam specifications. He carefully walked us through each segment. Of particular use is his actual field knowledge of motors and transformers. He cares deeply that his students pass the exam and brings a positive, energetic life to a very stressful exam preparation. He has answered all of our questions. If we didn't get a question answered in the live chat, he responded quickly by email. He doesn't end a class until the students have exhausted questions and almost every class has gone over 3 hours because he wants us all to understand the material.

Initially I was hesitant on choosing a review class for the PE. I knew I needed one, but was stuck between taking an in-class review with an older company or trying a live on-line class. What made me choose Electrical PE Review was the fact the its taught by someone who has recently passed the PE (opposed to someone older and more out-of-touch), Zach's mantra of "an inch deep, mile wide" in how he teaches really helped me, the opportunity to watch all of the April exam's videos before the October one started, and the ability to go back and rewatch the classes during my studying to reinforce what I need to know. I'm really happy with the quality of the materials offered, and they're a huge part of my studying plan.

The live classes are one of the best parts of this review course. It's essentially a class every Wednesday (or whenever your day is) where you can ask questions and sharpen your skill set. If you have problems with a specific topic you can get help. Really is helpful in preparing for the PE exam! Best part is that you can come and go as you need. Being a parent with a toddler, this gives me the flexibility to watch/participate in the class while watching my child. Gives me the flexibility to come and go as I need to. If I miss a part of the class, I can go back to the class the next day and watch the section that I missed! Another great tool for this class!

End of Class Test
This will be a special class consisting of nonstop live practice problems. I will be challenging you with every exam topic focusing on difficult and tricky questions to expose any last minute weakness that you need to work on before the exam. This class will be one week prior to the exam to give you plenty of time to re-watch and practice after.

This is NOT a lecture and student participation will be highly pushed for. Come prepared, bring your calculator and be ready to be thoroughly tested!

Week 11
3/27/2019
3pm PT
4pm MT
5pm CT
6pm ET
4 Hours

What's Included:

  • Attend live every week

You'll get an email calendar invite for each class with a link to access the live webinar that will become active at the start time. Once inside you'll be able to hear by audio, see my screen cast, ask questions in real time, and interact with other students in the live chat room.

  • Watch later with unlimited replays

Each live webinar class is automatically recorded then uploaded to the online course the very same night. Incase you can't make it due to a scheduling conflict, or if you'd like to watch it again for extra practice, there are no limits on number of replays.

  • Download and print .PDF notes

I don't believe in reading off power point slides. Each class is live with no canned material. Questions and diagrams will be prepared prior, then everything will be worked out live on screen. The completed notes are then uploaded as a .PDF file for you to download afterwards.

How it Works

Come prepared to each class and be ready to work out live examples, answer and ask questions, and engage with me and the other students. This is our most effective and challenging learning environment.

  • Prepare for the topic ahead of time with the online course.

  • Bring your calculator and be prepared to answer questions in the chat.

  • Ask me to pause, repeat, or clarify when you are stuck or confused.

  • Re-watch the uploaded recording as many times as you need to.

  • Email me specific discussion points about the subject you'd like discussed.

  • Download the PDF notes of everything that we worked out on screen.

Click play to sample a previous semester's 3 hour live class on fault current analysis.

Live classes start approximately 12 weeks prior to the date of every PE exam and is included with your monthly subscription or six month package.
